The Inferno, Canto XI

D'ogne malizia, ch'odio in cielo acquista,
ingiuria è 'l fine, ed ogne fin cotale
o con forza o con frode altrui contrista.

has as its end injustice. Each such end
harms someone else through either force or fraud.

The Inferno, Canto I

In the middle of the journey of our life
I found myself in a dark wood
For I had lost the right path.
